Kunsthochschule Kassel, Menzelstr. 13-15, 34121 Kassel
17 May 2014, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Lucius and Annemarie Burckhardt are considered to be the pioneers of strollology. A one-day symposium will be taking place in Kassel at the Lucius Burckhardt Convention 2014 that is dedicated to the life and work of the Swiss sociologist and his wife.
Burckhardt, who taught at the Kunsthochschule Kassel from 1972 to 1997, continues to shape the understanding of the environment with his planning theory of "the smallest intervention" in the existing environment.
Martin Schmitz, a professor of product design in Kassel, has invited representatives from Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany to the symposium, including Gion A. Caminada, Silvan Blumenthal, Jesko Fezer, Ueli Mäder, Hannah Stippl, Markus Ritter, Lorenzo Romito and Bertram Weisshaar. The event will be held in German.
